Wale und Delfine beobachten Gran Canaria
Auf Gran Canaria Wale und Delfine zu beobachten, ist ein absolut ergreifendes Erlebnis. Die Dauer dieser Tour reicht dafür vollkommen aus, denn das Sichtungsgebiet ist nicht besonders weit von der Küste entfernt. Zudem beseht, aufgrund der enormen Artenvielfalt, in den hiesigen Gewässern das ganze Jahr über eine fast 100-prozentige Sichtungswahrscheinlichkeit. Aber keine Sorge, sollten Sie auf Ihrer Bootstour ausnahmsweise mal Pech haben und keine Delfine sehen, bekommen Sie gratis Tickets für eine weitere Fahrt! Delfine sind, im Gegensatz zu den eher scheuen Walen, überaus gesellig. Sie lieben es, in der Bugwelle des Bootes zu schwimmen und die Passagiere mit Ihren Sprüngen zu begeistern. Erfüllen Sie sich im Urlaub auf Gran Canaria den Traum, einmal freilebende Delfine zu sehen und mit etwas Glück auch einen Wal.
Bei dieser Delfin Tour gehen Sie in Puerto Rico an Bord. Um Wale und Delfine zu beobachten werden Sie in Maspalomas, Playa del Ingles, Puerto de Mogán und vielen weiteren Urlaubsorten im Süden von Gran Canaria, abgeholt und wieder zurück gebracht.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Sichtung zwar extrem hoch ist, diese jedoch nicht garantiert werden kann. Die erfahrene Crew wird alles Notwendige veranlassen, um Ihnen dieses außergewöhnliche Erlebnis zu ermöglichen.

First of all, booking with Canco itself was easy and without problems, also the shuttle worked out, even we had to walk like 20 minutes to the pickup point. And yes, we saw Dolphins – it was amazing! It happened fast, like 20 minutes after we left Puerto Rico. But after that, the boat turns directly into the direction of home again, than we stopped in a bay to watch hotels (?), I didn’t got it till now. This was not part the booking I did. I booked and payed for a 2h dolphin and whale watching tour. To turn around without even a try to find whales and spend time in a ugly bay for nothing (even no swimming or snorkeling was the goal there) was very disappointing. At least I would have appreciated more to spend the time on the ocean to maybe get surprised by whatever in stead of stopping at a bay built up with hotels. Really, that is something that I could see more than enough at Gran Canaria. Which is actually very sad. So yes.. even the staff was not really open for my constructive feedback, that’s why I tell it here. I am aware that these kind of tours are tourist stuff but I left the tour with a very bad feeling which unfortunately covered the great experience of seeing dolphins in wild life.

Firstly the mammals are very timid and easily scared. Secondly the stand still is essential to observe the water surface for any sign that indicates their presence. Probably more communication from the staff would been helpful for you to understand what was going on. We’re are glad you have had the chance to see the dolphins.

En primer lugar, reservar con Canco fue fácil y sin problemas, también el servicio de transporte funcionó, incluso tuvimos que caminar unos 20 minutos hasta el punto de recogida. Y sí, vimos delfines, ¡fue increíble! Sucedió rápido, como 20 minutos después de que salimos de Puerto Rico. Pero después de eso, el barco vuelve a girar directamente en dirección a casa, cuando nos detuvimos en una bahía para mirar hoteles (?), no lo entendí hasta ahora. Esto no fue parte de la reserva que hice. Reservé y pagué un tour de avistamiento de ballenas y delfines de 2 horas. Dar la vuelta sin siquiera intentar encontrar ballenas y pasar tiempo en una bahía fea por nada (ni siquiera nadar o bucear era el objetivo allí) fue muy decepcionante. Al menos me hubiera gustado más pasar el tiempo en el océano para tal vez sorprenderme con lo que sea en lugar de detenerme en una bahía llena de hoteles. Realmente eso es algo que pude ver más que de sobra en Gran Canaria. Lo cual es realmente muy triste. Así que sí… ni siquiera el personal estuvo muy abierto a mis comentarios constructivos, por eso lo conté aquí. Soy consciente de que este tipo de tours son cosas turísticas, pero salí del tour con un muy mal presentimiento que desafortunadamente cubrió la gran experiencia de ver delfines en vida salvaje.

Estimada Henrike, lamentamos saber que no estuvo satisfecho con su recorrido. El caso es que es más fácil avistar ballenas cuando el barco está parado. En primer lugar, los mamíferos son muy tímidos y se asustan fácilmente. En segundo lugar la parada es fundamental para observar la superficie del agua en busca de cualquier señal que indique su presencia. Probablemente sería útil tener más comunicación por parte del personal para comprender lo que estaba sucediendo. Nos alegra que haya tenido la oportunidad de ver los delfines.

Erstens war die Buchung bei Canco selbst einfach und problemlos, auch der Shuttle hat geklappt, obwohl wir bis zum Abholpunkt etwa 20 Minuten laufen mussten. Und ja, wir haben Delfine gesehen – es war unglaublich! Es ging schnell, etwa 20 Minuten nachdem wir Puerto Rico verlassen hatten. Danach dreht das Boot aber wieder direkt in Richtung Heimat, dann halten wir in einer Bucht an, um uns Hotels anzuschauen (?), das habe ich bis jetzt nicht verstanden. Dies war nicht Teil meiner Buchung. Ich habe eine zweistündige Delfin- und Walbeobachtungstour gebucht und bezahlt. Umzudrehen, ohne auch nur den Versuch zu unternehmen, Wale zu finden, und umsonst Zeit in einer hässlichen Bucht zu verbringen (nicht einmal Schwimmen oder Schnorcheln war dort das Ziel), war sehr enttäuschend. Zumindest wäre es mir lieber gewesen, die Zeit auf dem Meer zu verbringen, um mich vielleicht von irgendetwas überraschen zu lassen, als an einer mit Hotels übersäten Bucht anzuhalten. Das ist wirklich etwas, was ich auf Gran Canaria mehr als genug sehen konnte. Was eigentlich sehr traurig ist. Also ja.. selbst das Personal war nicht wirklich offen für mein konstruktives Feedback, deshalb erzähle ich es hier. Mir ist bewusst, dass diese Art von Touren touristischer Natur sind, aber ich verließ die Tour mit einem sehr schlechten Gefühl, das leider das großartige Erlebnis, Delfine in freier Wildbahn zu sehen, zunichte machte.

Erstens weil die Säugetiere sehr scheu sind und sehr schnell erschrecken. Zweitens ist Stillstand unerlässlich, um Wasseroberfläche auf Anzeichen zu beobachten, die auf ihre Anwesenheit hinweisen. Sicherlich wäre mehr Kommunikation seitens des Personals hilfreich gewesen, damit Sie verstehen, was vor sich ging. Wir freuen uns dennoch, dass Sie das Erlebnis hatten, Delfine zu sehen.

Auch die kurze Rückfahrt vom großen Boot mit dem Schnellboot war cool.
Was ihr vielleicht verbessern könnt: Vereinzelt sind die Sitze nass, was man jedoch erst nach längerem Sitzen bemerkt. Hier wäre ein Hinweis von der Crew hilfreich. Dann kann man das vorher genauer prüfen bzw. eine Plastiktüte als Schutz drüber legen.

El tour fue genial, vimos muchos delfines y una pequeña ballena. Y también el corto viaje de regreso desde el gran barco en lancha rápida fue genial.
Lo que podría mejorarse: algunos de los asientos están mojados, lo que solo se nota después de estar sentado un rato. Una aviso de la tripulación sería útil. Para que pueda revisar el asiento con anticipación o poner una bolsa de plástico sobre él como protección.

What could be improved: Some of seats are wet, which you only notice after sitting for a while. A note from the crew would be helpful . So that you can check it in advance or put a plastic bag over it as protection.

Der Ausflug war toll! Wir haben Delfine gesehen, die sogar direkt an unser Boot heran kamen.
Die Organisation war auch super!
Das Boot war gut (die Sitze waren allerdings nass).
Die Dame, die uns begleitet hat, war freundlich.
Die Busfahrt vom Hotel zum Hafen hat leider recht lange gedauert, weil ziemlich viele Hotels angefahren wurden. Aber natürlich bin ich froh, dass Sie eine Abholung vom Hotel überhaupt anbieten und diese auch im Preis enthalten war.
Und der Service von CANCO, Ihre schnelle Reaktion auf meine Buchung und meine Mail war auch super!

If 5 stars is the best, then I give 4.5 stars 🙂 The trip was great! We saw dolphins that even came right up to our boat. The organization was great too! The boat was fine (the seats were wet though). The lady who accompanied us was friendly. Unfortunately, the bus trip from the hotel to the port took a long time, because we stopped at many hotels . But, of course, I am glad that they offer a pick-up service and that it is included in the price. And the CANCO service, your quick reaction to my reservation and my email was excellent!

Si 5 estrellas es lo mejor, entonces doy 4.5 estrellas 🙂 El tour fue genial! Vimos delfines que incluso se acercaron a nuestro barco. ¡La organización también fue genial! El barco estaba bien (aunque los asientos estaban mojados). La señora que nos acompañó fue amable. Lamentablemente, el viaje en autobús desde el hotel hasta el puerto tardó mucho tiempo, porque pararon muchos hoteles. Pero, por supuesto, me alegra de que ofrezcan un servicio de recogida en el hotel y que esté incluido en el precio. ¡Y el servicio de CANCO, su rápida reacción a mi reserva y mi correo fue excelente!

Die Abholung war sehr pünktlich und das komplette Personal freundlich. Es war etwas schaukelig, aber das gehört aufm Boot dazu. Für jeden gab es ein Freigetränk. Als wir in mitten eines Schwarm von Delphinen waren, würde der Motor ausgestellt und alle konnten in Ruhe gucken und Fotos machen. Mir hat es gut gefallen…

Wij hadden het geluk of ongeluk om 2x te moeten varen vooraleer we de dolfijnen zagen, de 2de maal was gratis zoals men dit had beloofd maar doordat de 1ste maal voor velen een negatieve ervaring was (door een te wilde zee met al gevolge van dien…) denk ik ook wel dat men een 2de maal niet echt durvde wij hebben doorgezet en zijn blij dat we het gedaan hebben, de 2de maal was de zee veel rustiger en was het aangenaam varen en dan zie je plots 1dolfijn omhoog springen met nadien nog vele andere en dit was natuurlijk een hele belevenis waardoor we toch wel blij waren dat we de 2de maal zijn meegegaan.

We had the luck or misfortune to sail 2 times before we saw dolphins; the 2nd time was for free as promised, but as the first tour was a negative experience for many (due to a wild sea with all consequences). I believe that some did not really dare to do a second tour but we are glad we did it, the 2nd time the sea was much calmer and sailing was pleasant and then suddenly a dolphin jumped up the water followed by many others and this experience made us happy that we went a 2nd time.

Mal war kostenlos, wie versprochen, aber die erste Tour war für viele ein Negativerlebnis (aufgrund des starken Seegangs mit allen Konsequenzen). Ich glaube, dass einige sich nicht trauten, eine zweite Tour zu machen, aber wir sind froh, dass wir es gemacht haben. Beim 2. Mal war die See viel ruhiger und die Bootsfahrt war angenehm und dann sprang plötzlich ein Delphin aus dem Wasser, gefolgt von vielen anderen, aufgrund dieser Erfahrung sind wir froh ein 2. Mal rausgefahren zu sein.

Tuvimos la suerte o la mala suerte de tener que salir 2 veces antes de ver delfines; La segunda vez fue gratis tal como es prometido, pero como la primera sallida para muchos fue una experiencia negativa (debido a un mar salvaje con todas las consecuencias). Creo que algunos no se atrevieron de salir otra vez, pero nos alegramos de haberlo hecho. La segunda vez el mar estuvo mucho más tranquilo y la navegación fue agradable y de repente saltó un delfín del agua seguido de muchos otros y debido a esta experiencia estamos contentos de haber ido por segunda vez.

Crew were informative Picked up & dropped off @ hotel. Loved my two trips, made some lovely memories. Got a few good videos. Very hard to take decent pics.

Haciendo carrera con el barco y saltando. Y la madre que estaba nadando junto a su hijo me conmovió. El barco tenía asientos de cuero comodos, traiga una toalla para sentarse. Refresco gratis. La tripulación fue informativa. Recogida y vuelta al hotel. Ambas excursiones fueron geniales y son buenos recuerdos. Tengo unos buenos videos. Muy difícil tomar fotos decentes.

Traumhaft, die Delphine in ihrer natürlichen Umgebung zu beobachten. Sie schwammen mit dem Boot um die Wette und machten Saltos. Und die Mutter die neben Ihrem Jungen herschwamm war bewegend. Das Boot hatte bequeme Ledersitze, nehmen Sie ein Handtuch mit. Ein kostenloses Erfrischungsgetränk. Die Crew war informativ. Abholung und Rücktransfer zum Hotel. Beide Touren waren toll und sind schöne Erinnerungen. Habe ein paar gute Videos. Sehr schwer, anständige Fotos zu machen.

Great boat trip, we immediately saw dolphins. The animals came in large numbers to the boat and were clearly visible. In our case we even got a free show from a dolphin making a big jump in the immediate vicinity.

It was great to be able to observe these great animals in the wild. The team spoke about the animals in several languages. On the trip you could also see flying fish and turtles.
Since you have to drive relatively far to the open sea, the boat can be rocking. For people who get seasick, a travel tablet is recommended so that the trip can be enjoyed to the fullest 😉

Nach ca 45 min. haben wir die Delphine gefunden.
Es war super diese tollen Tiere in freier Natur beobachten zu können. Das Team hat in mehreren Sprachen etwas über die Tiere erzählt. Auf der Fahrt konnte man auch fliegende Fische und Schlidkröten sichten.
Da man relativ weit aufs offene Meer fahren muss, kann es doch etwas schaukeln. Für nicht seefeste Personen empfiehlt sich eine Reisetablette damit der Ausflug auch in vollen Zügen genossen werden kann 😉

Die Bootstour war sehr schön. Leider hatten wir nur aus der weiten Ferne die Möglichkeit, für einen Augenblick drei Delfine sehen zu können. Bevor jedoch alle Ihre Kameras zücken konnten, waren sie auch schon wieder weg. Daher leider nur 3 Sterne. Beim nächsten Mal erhoffen wir uns mehr Delfine sehen zu können, von daher würden wir diese Tour trotzdem empfehlen. Das Personal war außerdem sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

The boat trip was very nice. Unfortunately, we only had the possibility to see three dolphins from the distance for a moment. But before everybody could pull out their cameras , they were already gone. Therefore unfortunately only 3 stars. The next time we hope to see more dolphins, so we would recommend this tour anyway. The boat trip was very nice. Unfortunately, we only had the possibility to see three dolphins from the distance for a moment. But before everybody could pull out their cameras , they were already gone. Therefore unfortunately only 3 stars. The next time we hope to see more dolphins, so we would recommend this tour anyway. Alles top, viele Delphine direkt vor dem Boot, sogar eine Schildkröte und einen fliegenden Fisch gesehen. Tolle Reiseleitung, ein Gratisgetränk und viele Informationen zu den Delphinen. Kann ich absolut empfehlen.

My partner would and me will never go and see Dolphins in captivity, so this was ideal. …Everything went as planned and once on board the crew led by a young lady explained everything. Obviously had we not been able to see any Dolphins, we might not have enjoyed the trip as much. However we did and it made the odd bout of seasickness immaterial. Can’t knock it and would advise anyone to do it! The boat itself was a catamaran, with a bar and even a Jacuzzi on the downstairs balcony in the stern!

Mein Lebensgefährtin und ich würden uns niemals die Delphine in Gefangenschaft ansehen, also war dies ideal… Alles verlief wie geplant und an Bord erklärte uns die Mannschaft, die von einer jungen Dame angeführt wurde, alles. Hätten wir keine Delphine gesehen, hätten wir die Reise nicht so sehr genossen. Doch wir haben, und dies machte den unangenehmen Kampf gegen die Seekrankheit unwesentlich. Ich kann nicht meckern und würde jedem den Ausflug empfehlen! Das Boot selbst war ein Katamaran, mit einer Bar und sogar einem Jacuzzi auf dem Balkon im unteren Heck!

The crew was fantastic, the guide was really informative, fluent in both English and German – the best trip (in a hot country) I’ve ever been on, to see these creatures in their own environment is something I won’t forget!

Wir hofften, einige Delfine zu sehen und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Hunderte dieser absolut einmaligen Säugetiere schwammen, an unserer Seite, absolut himmlisch!! Die Besatzung war fantastisch, der Guide sehr informativ, sprach fließend Englisch und Deutsch – die beste Reise (in einem heißen Land), auf der ich je war, diese Kreaturen in Ihrer natürlichen Umgebung zu sehen, ist etwas, das ich nicht vergessen werde!

Ich habe die 2,5 Std. Tour mitgemacht. Ich konnte einen fliegenden Fisch gleich zu Beginn sehen und nach 30 Minuten tauchten die ersten Delfine auf.
Wir konnten viele Bilder machen und später sahen wir noch eine andere Delfinart. Es wurde nie zu dicht aufgefahren und nach einer gewissen Zeit haben wir die Tiere auch in Ruhe gelassen. Bei der Rückfahrt passiert dann das unglaubliche. Vor uns tauchte ein großer Wal auf. Das war mein persönliches Highlight : ) Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen. Vielen Dank an das tolle Team.

Wir waren zu siebt, darunter zwei unter 6’s, hatten eine tolle Zeit an Bord die Sitzplätze waren sehr bequem, eine Dame erzählte uns alles über die Delfine (in 4 Sprachen) was schön und informativ war, aber die Kirsche auf dem Kuchen waren die vielen Delfine und so nahe. Viele gute Fotos und Erinnerungen. Zweifelsohne Empfehlenswert.
