Hiking in Mogán Veneguera Valley Gran Canaria
On this hike in the municipality of Mogán, through the fertile Veneguera valley, you will experience the full range of colors of Gran Canaria. Magnificent mango and avocado plantations, magnificent bougainvilleas, colorful rocks, lush palm groves and the deep blue of the Atlantic in the background. The route first takes you past abandoned farmhouses and imposing rock formations. After a few meters you can already see the cardón (Euphorbia canariensis), one of the largest on the island, which is more than a hundred years old. Another highlight is definitely the colorful Los Azulejos rock face, which is part of the Inagua Nature Reserve. You will learn many interesting details about the flora and fauna of the area from your competent hiking guides. After a short picnic you will hike back to Veneguera, considered to be one of the most authentic and traditional villages in Gran Canaria.
