Hiking Laurel Forest Gran Canaria
On this tour you will hike in the lush laurel forest of Gran Canaria, in the protected “Doramas” nature park. Your guide will give you lots of information about this last remaining remnant of a true subtropical jungle that once covered much of the north of the island. You begin the hike with a descent through the densely overgrown gorge and fairy tale landscapes, with fantastic views of the valley. Around midday you will enjoy a picnic with a wonderful view of the valley below and the unique endemic flora. The laurel forest of Gran Canaria is a jewel for every nature lover and hiker. After the break you finally start the climb, well fortified. You hike past huge eucalyptus trees, lemon and orange plantations and back to the starting point. A hike in the laurel forest of Gran Canaria is simply unforgettable and unique!
