Hiking Roque Nublo Gran Canaria
The tour starts in the “Lomo Aserrador” from there you’re hiking straight up to Roque Nublo, the impressive landmark of the beautiful island of Gran Canaria. The Cloud Rock rises up impressive 68 meters and stands on a 1,750 meters high plateau. Take the opportunity to capture your overwhelming experiences in exceptionally nice photos. After a small pick-nick you’re hiking along an old royal path through a freshly fragrant pine forest. The most varied herbs and medicinal plants grow on the edge of the path. And your experienced guide will gladly share his knowledge with you and give you numerous interesting details about the Roque Nublo and its unique vegetation. The canarian weather mostly offers days with good sight, this way your hiking efforts mostly will be rewarded with the view to the neighboring island Tenerife and the Pico del Teide with 3,718 Meters height.

We all had a great day, and I would like to acknowledge the guide for his great personality, good humour and communication skills. We all had an excellent day in the mountains and learned a lot.

The trip pleased my girlfriend and me a lot! Everything was good, especially Manfred was great, we could not imagine a better hiking guide.
Alfred –
Since I did several tours, it is almost impossible to highlight one, without doing all other wrong!
Bas –
We are still impressed. They taught us a lot that is worth knowing on this tour that is much more than just a hike. For us it certainly was not the last hike we have booked. Everything was great. They took care of everyone and if necessary adjusted the pace and stopps. All questions were answered really well.

We went hiking for the first time in Gran Canaria. The tour to Roque Nublo was very nice and well organized. We were picked up from the hotel on time and Lukas already gave a lot of information about the island during the journey to the starting point.
He always cared about the condition of all participants.
Both the booking and the execution of hike were professional. On our next stay on Gran Canaria, we are certainly back. Thanks again to Lukas!

Excellent day hiking to Roque Nublo. Probably best day guided trip I’ve experienced. Lukas and his father Manfred are very organised professional guides. Very easy to book up and I was collected and returned to my hotel and provided with water and a packed lunch.
Very good value for money and definitely the best way to see the highest point on the island

I did 2 walks. Arrival by bus. Here you already get some interesting information about the island. The walks were not too difficult and not too strenuous. The pace is adapted to the group. The guides explain again and again about plants, summit and environment. There is water and a sandwich available as provisions. And hiking poles available free of charge.

We had a great day !! Great guides that know so much about the area, history and the plant life and answered all our questions! The hike itself led along well-trodden paths leading through Canarian pine forests to the Roque Nublo plateau. The views are amazing.
Mariska –
Very well organized. Already learned a lot on the way to the mountains. It wasn’t just a guided hike, it was also a tour through the mountainous countryside. Well worth the money! Great views as it was a very clear day, we could clearly see the island of Tenerife and the Teide. This is such a different and beautiful side of Gran Canaria! I will be back next year for another hike.

We had our first tour today. We hiking for the first time in general and would do it again every year. It was so much fun and the area was beautiful. Our guide was very friendly and made our day. Thanks again to Kerstin and of course the bus driver.

I had a wonderful day at Roque Nublo with Mani and a small group from Germany. Will recommend it to all and I’m just sorry I have to go before I can get on another hike.
Jill –
If the beach and the sea on Gran Canaria are fantastic, the island is even more fascinating, as we were allowed to discover today. We find that you have to experience the flora and fauna and the origin of Gran Canaria. it was an interesting hike – we were not disappointed!
Hamilton –
If you like hiking then you need to try one of these guided tours… Our guide Manfred was a real guide and very personable and knowledgeable. We were in a group of 20 which was split into two groups so the tour could be enjoyed by all. We were the only 2 English speakers that particular day as everyone else was German but that didn’t hinder the tour whatsoever. Manfred spoke very good English and it almost seemed like we had a private tour as we were the only ones! … We would highly recommend the tour to anyone and look forward to our next day out with Manfred!

As a non driver but keen walker I found it frustrating not being able to access the “real” Gran Canaria away from the coast. This is where organized Hiking trips came in. I was able to join a guided walk and see something of the spectacular scenery. With Sofie as guide of a multinational party – German, English and French – I learnt a lot about the history and natural environment of the island. Though I was the only Brit on the outing I was impressed that Sofie gave me as much attention as the other walkers in pointing out aspects of the landscape and its flora. This was a brilliant day out.

Already on the one-hour trip to the starting point you can see great landscapes about which Manfred the giude can tell a lot. The pace of the hike was relaxed. A sandwich and a bottle of water were included in the price. It was really fun and would go again any time!
