Description
Monte Arucas Mountain Bike Tour Gran Canaria
One of the most beautiful viewpoints of the island is the starting point of this tour: Monte Arucas. You will first drive over black cobblestones on your way through Arucas, a very authentic canarian village. Then follows the first challenge of the day: A technical climb on an old stony path. Next is a flowing single-track on red soil around Montaña de Firgas. But first there is a break at the kiosk of the pretty and well-maintained “water spring” village Firgas, where the popular canarian drinking water comes from. You need to gather strength and recharge your batteries before heading north again. Various descents and ascents lead you through remarkable fern jungle trails up to the highest point of your Monte Arucas adventure. Get ready for an insane single-track descent following the waterways of the spring water. The journey ends in Arucas at a bar opposite the emblematic “San Juan” Cathedral made of black basalt stone.

A professional organizer of mountain bike tours. The organization is professional and fab, the guides are in a good mood, helpful and competent and also the rental bikes are technically up to date (I had each a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR, 29 inches, version 2017 or 2018). The tours are also great, my favorites are the ones on Wednesday (ARUCAS) and on Friday (CANDELILLA). The tours are, however, something for experienced. Entirely newbies should perhaps treat themselves with E-bike tours first or practice driving technique, because the terrain on Gran Canaria is sometimes challenging.

The tours were great 🙂 A special thanks to the outstanding bikeguides! They know every turn, every stone and every uphill on their tours and they glorified our days with glorious views and humor. We are already looking forward to next year!

Great organization, very good equipment, friendly guides. Even though I am an inexperienced mountain biker I really enjoyed the tour and wanted to do more. Many Thanks!
