As a part of our activity in the travel industry, we have contact with bloggers from all over the world. Their passion when describing their experiences in distant lands inspired us to this small list of Top 7 CANCO Gran Canaria Travel Recommendations. Let us briefly look at our beautiful earth and look at some of the most beautiful vacation destinations. The starting point of our little intellectual world journey is the most distant point.
New Zealand, at the Other End of the World

In New Zealand about 4 million inhabitants share an area that corresponds to the United Kingdom. The Māori call their country “Aotearoa” – land of the long white cloud.
The most impressive feature of New Zealand is its variety of spectacular landscapes and the unusual nature. The highest mountain – Mount Cook – is 3,724 meters high. Alpine mountain massifs border rainforests, lakes are so huge that you cannot see the other lakeside, and there are sprawling steppes and long beautiful sandy beaches. It’s not for no reason; that fans from all over the world come to New Zealand to visit Middle Earth.
Vietnam, Beautiful Country in the East

Far and unknown, this is what most think when they hear Vietnam. This country is increasingly focusing on travelers. Nature and landscapes are overwhelming. The culture and history of the country are fascinating. In its over-sized temple complexes visitors will dive deep into the past of this part of the world.
Its modern metropolises are no longer inferior to those in the rest of the world. And yet the always friendly people pay attention to their traditions. When traveling to Vietnam, you should visit Halong Bay in the north of the country. On the coastline of the UNESCO World Heritage Site there are over 2,000 small islands, countless lagoons and caves.
Cambodia, the Undeveloped for Explorers

The country in Southeast Asia is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and is becoming an increasingly interesting destination for journeys to Asia. Bus trips are still much more adventurous than in the neighboring countries, as the roads are broken and missing bridges are partly replaced by ferries. Getting around here takes a long time and is an experience and an adventure at the same time.
Cambodia attracts mainly through its cultural and historical highlights. Angkor Wat is the largest religious building in the world. On more than 200 square kilometers, visitors can admire this gigantic complex of temples, parks, squares and water trenches. This 800-year-old monument of human history, designated as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, is often referred to as the heart and soul of Cambodia.
Krk, the Golden Island of Croatia

Krk impresses through its striking beauty. On top of that, this island in the Kvarner Bay in the northern Adriatic is also bursting with history. The combination of both awaits the visitor when he arrives at one of its 60 cities and locations. The landmark of Krk – the cathedral with its onion-shaped bell tower – dates back to the 5th century. It was built on the foundations of Roman baths. The thousand-year-old city walls of the city with the same name border, among other things, directly on the Adriatic. In the small streets with their quaint little shops, cafes and restaurants one can stroll through Europe’s history. The approximately 18,000 inhabitants are friendly and happy. A holiday on this 406 square kilometer large and beautiful spot of this earth is definitely worthwhile. And bathing enthusiasts will also be satisfied. Countless small bays with rocky, pebble and sandy beaches, are inviting to a refreshing dip in the crystal clear Adriatic Sea. Here you will find everything you need to know about Croatia. Have much fun while reading!
Canada, the Great Adventure

Canada is characterized by its sheer inexhaustible wealth of almost untouched nature and wildlife. Although it is the second largest country on earth considering its area, only about 37 million people live here. This leaves room for gigantic spaces between inhabited areas.
In the north of the country there are “endless stretches” where reindeer herds and musk ox herds are undisturbed. On the west coast, natural monuments will take your breath away. Hidden coves, jagged coasts and dark rainforests unite here to an extraordinary and unique landscape. The adventure seeking traveler can meet bears in the forests and whales in the Pacific.
Cuba, Land of Opposites

Cuba is still a country characterized by its history and the communist revolution. However, in recent years, this country has opened its doors ever more to invite visitors from all over the world to experience this fascinating island in the Caribbean. The infrastructure created for this is in no way inferior to the one in other holiday destinations.
Cuban symbols are surely the endless white sand beaches, which are lined with palm trees and where you will hardly find any a human being. You instantly picture yourself, bare feet in the sand holding a Cocktail in the palm of your hand listening to the rhythms of the Buena Vista Social Club. Many people also picture the old 60s Chevrolets, that are only being held together by the remains of their colorful varnish, standing in front of old buildings.
Gran Canaria, Island of Eternal Spring
Gran Canaria can certainly not be missed on our personal list. This island in the Atlantic Ocean offers its visitors all the necessary highlights for a great holiday. The climatic conditions correspond to a never-ending spring. No matter what time of the year, holidaymakers will always find balanced temperatures between 23 and 29 degrees.
Countless beaches of different kinds invite you to a refreshing bath in the ocean. The mountains and landscapes of this island offer all the facets of a small continent in a confined space. Up to 2,000 meters high mountains, sprawling pine forests, deep cliffs and rainforest-like gorges are awaiting their visitors.

Great article! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I can totally relate I decided it was time to get over my fear of Gran Canaria tour just this year. I did it in a bit of a backward way: I booked a backpacking trip for the end of this year. I figure there’s no better way for me to prepare for such a big adventure than to start Gran Canaria tour, it was so great that I have two more planned and a few more in mind. Your tips make sense and you’re right that it’s very empowering to face our fears and take control of them. Yay for us!!!
I love the idea of traveling alone. I’m curious and confident and tend to think of meeting new people as a kind of “travel”…becoming more worldly. As my kids are getting older, I can definitely see myself taking time for me and playing gypsy a little bit!
Great travel recommendations and very useful information.
Great tips! I wish I had read the one about reading the history before my first trip to Cambodia. I meandered around the temples of Angkor Wat and played with the macaques but that was it. I’m going to Australia in a couple of months and this time I am reading its history.
